Letter To Parents:
Our second fundraiser of the year involves getting sponsorship from family and friends
around the world. This fundraiser is a two-step process:
- Fill out the enclosed sign-up sheet
with at least 7 names and addresses of family and friends. Turn in lists to the
band office.
- The band boosters will then assimilate
all of the addresses and mail each potential sponsor a letter and a brochure requesting their financial aid in supporting
your son or daughter as well as the band. Read the sponsorship rates below so
that you will be familiar with the sponsorship program.
- As the funds start coming in, money
will be deposited into your son or daughter’s account.
- Every child that has turned a form
in has received some money from this program.
- The second form in this packet is
for students and parents to sell sponsorship to local people. The sponsorship
rates are the same. The deadline for this form is August 24.
There are 3 sponsorship rates:
v
A $5 sponsorship will deposit $2 in your child’s individual band account that they may use to pay for expenses
including band camp or uniform items such as shoes and gloves. The remaining
$3 is deposited into the band’s general fund. *The sponsor’s name will be placed in the Band Fan section of each
varsity home football game program.
v
A $25 sponsorship will provide your child $12.50 in their individual band account and $12.50 is placed in the band’s
general account. * In addition to having the sponsor’s name placed in the Band Fan section of the football program,
they will also receive the band newsletters to keep them in touch with all the latest happenings of the band and colorguard.
v
For a sponsorship of $65, half is placed in your child’s account and the remainder is deposited into the band’s
general account. *In addition to having their name placed in the Band Fan section
of the football program and receiving the newsletters, they will also receive a DVD (new this year) chronicling the
marching band and color guard’s season. This DVD has excerpts from football
game half-time shows and from all the competitions along with still shots of all the marching band and Colorguard members.
Any donations above $65 will be split in half between the student and the band.
I hope you will consider participating in this fundraiser. It provides an opportunity for students to raise money and promotes the band program locally and to those
living across the United States. If you have any questions, please contact the
band room at 444-5117.
Sincerely,
Jorge A Benitez
