►    Invitation to Spring Concerts   click to view the invitation  
►   Our Spring Band Concert is Sunday May 18 at 4pm. Admission is $2.00 for Students and Adults and $1.00 for Kids 10 and under.
 
►   Our Jazz & Percussion Concert will be Thursday May 29 at 7pm featuring the Jazz Ensemble and percussion sections of the Symphonic band and Wind Ensemble.
 
►   Our Clinical intern, Ben Sawatzke was successful in his clinical internship. He will be graduating this Saturday. He will be back for the 18th and 29th concerts.

►    The Pelican Rapids Band Director has sent a thank you card (including a picture of their band)  to our band.  Click here to see it. If you remember that was the band involved in a bus accident in which one of their band students was injured and passed away.

►    We received a check from Wendy's for $126.00 for the last two months of participation in the Wendy's night program. Thank you for participating.   Please buy some food on the next Wendys Night Out,  Wednesday May 14th.

►    Mr. Amos has played for Piney Grove Church for almost two years. He will be stepping down. Please email Mr. Amos if any of you would be interested in playing piano for this church. The job is the 3rd Sunday of every month and this is a paid job.

►    We just received a check for $32.55 from Food Lion for the MVP sales program. Please  remember to go to www.foodlion.com and register your MVP number for our non-Profit group "Havelock Band Boosters"

►   The money owed letter just went out. There was a typo. The 2008 tux rental is $75.00 not $175.00. Please pay only $75.00.

►   The Percussion Master Classes are for any students that are interested in joining the marching band percussion section. At these classes the students will be taught the mechanics of marching band battery and front ensemble playing. For a complete schedule, click here for the Havelock Percussion site.

►   Please keep the Gentry family in your prayers. The Boosters will  be collecting money for a scholarship fund for Casey. You may bring or send money to the band office. Checks should be made to HHS Band, and put "Gentry" in the subject line.  Click here for original announcement.
 

►   Do you have pictures of the Winterguard you can share for their season DVD?  We want them!   Click here! 
 
 ►     Jazz Band -  Jazz Ensemble Students and Parents, here is the latest schedule with changes in red.  Please be aware that there are only 15 more morning rehearsals.  BE ON TIME TO EACH OF THOSE!!!   It will not be during the regular morning time. There are 3 performances coming up next week.  Practice your music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

►   Complete spring, summer and fall CALENDAR!!  Mark your calendars! Subject to minor changes of course. A "last updated" date will always be provided so you can check to be sure you have the most current version. These events will also be posted on the main calendar, but it will take a little time to get all of this information transferred.

►     Camp Seafarer has sent out a request asking for help on the following weekends.

                   May  23 - 25 Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer

 
We will need at least 10 students and 2 parents.  Read the attached schedule from last year's Camp Seafarer so that you can see what is expected.  This is an excellent fundraiser for our band program. Please email Mr. Benitez if you are interested in helping.

Please call us during our planning hours at 444-5117 if you need to speak to us. If you would like to set-up an appointment to visit with us, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday's from 3:30 to 4:30pm are normally the best days. We both like to leave early on Wednesdays.
